Albina Scavenger Hunt Highlights Portland’s Black History

The scavenger hunt is a free event for the public. It will take folks to 10 stops around the historic Black Albina neighborhood. Each stop will showcase the significance of the Black community and feature a fun activity that educates on racial equity issues and healthy relationships. Both goals tie directly to Bradley Angle's work to address domestic violence, particularly in the Black/African American community.

Participants will accumulate points for each stop that they visit, and each activity that they complete. These points convert to entries to a raffle prize or prizes if the organization collects enough donations.

Throughout the scavenger hunt, discoveries include salvaged cupolas, sidewalk art tiles and more. Participants will complete tasks such as quizzes and selfies.

Registration is open now through April 1 at 4 p.m. Starting March 14 registered participants will be emailed a link to download the app. Using the app, they can join the hunt.
